First Look: 80 watt & 160 watt amplifiers
You’ve probably seen the rich features that our CONNECTSERIES offers with our 350 W & 700 W models over the past several months. They’re powering bars, clubs, hotels, retail stores, churches and more. The feedback has been extraordinarily positive, and many integrators are making the switch to LEA for all of their amplification projects. Now, integrators are finally able to fulfill their smaller-scale projects with LEA products too, as our 80 watt & 160 watt amplifiers are NOW SHIPPING!
Here’s your first look at the newly available models…

This model range offers integrators eight new options for their smaller-scale projects. The eight models are:

80 WATT & 160 WATT AMPLIFIER FEATURES
The features that are available in our 80 Watt & 160 Watt amplifiers are exactly the same as our 350 W & 700 W units that you are used to seeing. So now integrators can take advantage of our full feature set in a lower power unit, including:
- 3 Ways to Connect – via Wired Mode, Wi-Fi Mode, & Access Point Mode
- Cloud Control & Monitoring – full remote control and monitoring from anywhere in the world with internet connection
- Web Browser-based UI – for local area network control, configuration, and monitoring
- Direct LoZ and HiZ (70V or 100V) – selectable per channel
- Proprietary Smart Power Bridge – bridge a channel for double power without losing another amp channel
- 96kHz Analog Devices DSP – with input routing, multiple 48dB/Oct crossover filters, 8 parametric EQ filters, user-configurable speaker limiters, and real-time load monitoring
- Universal Switch Mode Power Supply – with PFC. Operation from 100VAC – 240VAC +/-15%
- Analog fully routable inputs
- External I/O Port – for remote on/off and fault monitoring
- Highly Efficient Class D Output Stage – for low AC Current draw
DIFFERENCES
So, besides power ratings, you might be wondering if there are any other differences to note with these new models that are now shipping…
There is one difference in fact! That being, the input/output connectors are a different size. Our previous models (350 W & 700W units) all have input connectors that are 5.08mm and output connectors that are 7.62mm.
The new 80 W and 160 W units just couldn’t use those same exact sizes because, well all eight channels couldn’t fit on the back of a 1U product! So, in order to maintain a sleek and flexible 1U design, we had to use different output connectors on these units.
While the input connectors on the 80 W and 160 W units are the same size, the output connectors are a bit smaller, coming in at 5.08mm rather than the 7.62mm found in our other models.
But no worries, when you purchase our products new, we include all the input/output connectors you need right in the box to ensure you have all of the correct sizes!
