A Conversation with Phillip Griffin, LEA Technical Support Specialist

What’s your current position at LEA?

[PG] Currently, I’m a Technical Support Specialist.

What is your background, and what brings you to LEA Pro?

[PG] Formerly, I was an Audio/Video systems Installer/Programmer. During that time, LEA amplifiers were a common product in our installations. The performance, accessibility, and overall innovative features made it a favorite of mine to work with. I’m looking forward to utilizing my past experiences as tools to better assist our current and future users.

What do you like about audio technology?

[PG] I enjoy following and learning about new technology as it comes out. Audio Technology is constantly evolving so there is always an opportunity to learn.

What are your personal hobbies?

[PG] Watching/playing Basketball, Driving, Boating, Video Games, Watching Movies.

Do you have any personal “tech projects” that you have worked on in the past or are currently working on?

[PG] I have previously worked on a small control system for my current “home office”. I integrated a small video switcher as well as a control processor which allows me to control input/output selection as well as audio levels and power on/off across multiple devices. A little excessive, but it was an enjoyable and educational project.

What makes audio or audio tech so important in your opinion?

[PG] Audio Technology gives the end user a more immersive experience regardless of the venue. Whether it be a sports complex, restaurant, shopping mall, or even a school, the use of modern audio technology elevates the end users experience
