When it comes to amp quality and testing, we are lucky to have our very own quality specialist in-house to ensure we’re staying on pace.
So then, we’re happy to introduce, Benda Donat!
What’s your current position at LEA?
My primary role at LEA is to develop and maintain an automated audio test system that verifies the amplifier’s performance. This test system validates each amplifier at the end of the manufacturing build process to ensure a quality manufactured product. This test system is also a valuable tool used during the engineering development process, providing quality audio performance data required to validate the amplifier’s performance.
Testing a product thoroughly is vital to the health of any company. It is critical to create an efficient test system that can gather the most pertinent data in the least amount of time.
What is your background in the industry?
I received an AAS in Electronics Engineering Technology from ITT and am presently working toward a BS in Software Development from WGU… only 4 classes to go!
I also I worked at Crown Audio for almost 11 years. During this time, I was able to maintain and build upon an existing automated test system.
The experience that I gained at Crown helped me to develop the skills necessary to develop an amplifier automated test system. This knowledge will help to ensure a solid audio test set within the LEA test system.
Why do you like audio technology?
Audio technology is used to bring life into the entertainment industry. Quality sound plays a major role in how we perceive what we see.
What is the most exciting thing about joining LEA?
I feel privileged to be a part of the LEA team. This group is one of the most talented that I have ever been a part of, and I am excited as to where that might lead!
What are your personal hobbies?
I love to go camping with my family. It allows for me to step back and re-group, coming back to reality refreshed and renewed.
