Open API Protocols Via TCP & Websockets:
If you’re working with our CONNECTSERIES and haven’t updated your units to the latest firmware, we highly recommend you do so…
Go ahead, download and update now, we’ll wait…
Ok, now that you’re up-to-date on firmware, let’s talk about what you get. We’re excited to offer open API protocols!
Let’s dive into the details…
OPEN API PROTOCOLS
By working with CONNECTSERIES amplifiers integrators have access to two Open API protocols. The first utilizes Websockets and the second is TCP based.
Both the amplifier WebUI control and sensor elements can be connected to both APIs. This includes all DSP parameters, level meters, clip and fault indicators, power supply information, and many other items.
WEBSOCKETS OPEN API
The WebSocket API is geared more toward software and web programmers who are looking to integrate the CONNECTSERIES amplifiers with custom developed software.
It communicates with a JSON-RPC command and response structure and supports GET, SET, SUBSCRIBE, UNSUBSCRIBE, and INFO commands.
TCP-BASED OPEN API
The TCP protocol is aimed at more common integrations with third-party professional AV equipment.
It supports GET, SET, SUBSCRIBE, and UNSUBSCRIBE commands. Many control and DSP products in the pro AV industry can easily send and receive TCP commands with basic programming.
These Open API platforms, allow the LEA CONNECTSERIES to integrate into almost any AV system via TCP or Websocket commands and it’s exciting to be able to give integrators this powerful option for their projects.
